Metromedia started organizing in Malaysia since 1989 with Miss Malaysia Chinatown 1989 Pageant, following it success of the contest, we added more competitions to our portfolio in Malaysia like Miss Malaysia Charm International which in 1990 we sent 18 years old, Kavita Kaur Sindu who went on to win the Miss Charm International 1990 Pageant in St. Petersburg, Russia. She became Malaysia’s first international winner.
Since then, our company have organized and licensed many contest in Malaysia including Miss Malaysia International Pageant, Miss Malaysia Earth Pageant, Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen International Pageant, Miss Chinatown Pageant, Miss Malaysia International Pageant, Miss Malaysia Intercontinental Pageant, Miss Malaysia Queen of the World, Miss Malaysia University Pageant, Miss Malaysia Petite Pageant, The Best Model of the World – Malaysia, Miss Model of the World Malaysia, Manhunt Malaysia, Mrs. Malaysia Globe Pageant, Mrs. Malaysia International Pageant, Mrs. Malaysia World Pageant and Little Miss Malaysia & Little Manhunt Talent & Modeling Quest.
Hence after 11 years presence in Malaysia, Mr. Alex Liu, our Managing Director decided to set up ERM Marketing Sdn. Bhd. and started a full operation Malaysia office in 2001. ERM Marketing Sdn. Bhd. provides consultancy services in special events management, marketing, international artiste management, promotions and public relations. We specialize in organizing beauty pageants, talent searches, fashion and glamour events, product launches, marketing and managing special events and other promotional activities.
We are the current market leader in the beauty pageants and modeling industry. Equipped with the experience, expertise and know-all, we can handle all types of events. We have a team of well-trained and dedicated staff who are veterans in the glamour industry. We have vast experience in television productions and broadcast events and have successfully televised many of our pageants over the local Malaysia television networks and various international television stations worldwide.
We have built a reputation for being reliable and creative promoters and event managers in Malaysia internationally. We provide International delegates to all International pageant in Malaysia include Miss Tourism Queen International Pageant, Miss Global Beauty Queen Pageant and Miss Queen International, Miss Chinese Oriental Pearl International Pageant and Miss Chinese World Pageant.
We are supported by our head office in Singapore – Exclusive Resources Marketing Pte Ltd, who is well connected internationally with associated international offices in Gold Coast – Australia, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Dusseldolf, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, Istanbul and other cities.

Sean Chia, General Manager (Malaysia) started out in the events management business in 1994. A honours Degree in Business Administration (BBA, Hon) graduated from Northern University of Malaysia (UUM), he has been involved in pageantry, concerts, product launches, sporting events, promotions, advertising, marketing and event management in Malaysia and Internationally.

Since 1994, He coordinated concerts, family entertainment shows and special event in Malaysia like Frank Harary Magic Show, Mr Big in Concert, Holiday Circus on Ice, Aaron Kwok “Live” in Concert, Cliff Richard in Concert, Walt Disney on Ice, Best of Grasshoppers in Concert, Jacky Cheng in Concert, Mighty Morphins Power Rangers, Heineken 5 Star Challenge, Launching of Swatch Beat Party, Launching of L’oreal Virtual Rouge, Nuyou Magazine Revamp Party.

He has also coordinated sporting events like the launching of Shah Alam Stadium in Malaysia, Malaysia 500cc Grand Prix, Salem ATP Open and Asia Pacific Sport Exposition (ASPO) Launch of Sports Recreation Year Malaysia.

 

From 1996 onwards, he specializes in Pageantry in Malaysia and has organized Miss Malaysia Chinatown Pageant, Manhunt Malaysia, Malaysia Best Model Awards, Miss Malaysia Petite, Malaysia Male Look of the year, Malaysia Queen of Clubs and Miss Tourism International.

In addition, he was incharge of the planning, budgeting, advertising, marketing, implementing & coordinating events like the Anchor Challenge, Heineken Angel Promotion, Guinness “Got it” Ambassadress, Guinness “Got 8, Got Luck” Promotion, Guinness Smasher Promotion and Anchor Ice “Rave Zone” Promotion.

In 1999, he left Malaysia to Joint Exclusive Resources Marketing Pte. Ltd. in Singapore for International Pageantry business and have coordinate and organized Manhunt International, Miss Friendship of the World – Vietnam, Mister International – India, Miss World University – Korea, Miss Tourism International – Malaysia and Miss Island – Ceju, Korea.

From 2002 onwards, he still involved in International event, at the same time he together with the Director of Exclusive Resources Marketing Pte. Ltd. Mr. Alex Liu started ERM Marketing Sdn. Bhd. for pageantry Business in Malaysia.

Also from 2002, Sean Chia together with Alex Liu exploits into China and manage to Organize Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Global Beauty Queen, Miss Model of the World, Manhunt International, Miss Bikini International , Miss Leisure, Miss International Beauty and Miss Friendship International. They also mange organized International Model of the Year & Manhunt International in Korea and Faces of the Universe in Ghana.

He currently also a well know international judge for the above International event.

He is currently the director of ERM Marketing Sdn. Bhd. The Malaysia subsidiary of Exclusive Resources Marketing Pte. Ltd.
